Ryan Pflugner, M.D.
Dr. Ryan Pflugner, M.D., is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in general orthopaedics, joint replacement and sports medicine.
A native of Sarasota, Florida, Dr. Pflugner attended the University of Alabama Medical School in Birmingham. Following medical school, he completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Medical Center. He completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Taos Orthopedic Institute in Taos, New Mexico.
Dr. Pflugner kicked for the University of Alabama, where he helped the Crimson Tide win an SEC Championship. Dr. Pflugner has a special interest in both adult reconstruction of the hip and knee and sports medicine.
Dr. Pflugner is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, and Arthroscopy Association of North America.
In his time away from work, Dr. Pflugner enjoys spending time with his wife and children as well as hiking, fishing, and hunting.
