Bonnie J. Dungan, M.D.
Bonnie J. Dungan, MD is a Physiatrist who adds an important dimension to our orthopaedic practice. She is trained in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, a branch of medicine that focuses on reducing pain and restoring function to people. Her approach is non- operative medical and injection interventions. She treats musculoskeletal pain, nerve and spine pain, and joint arthritis and pain. Additionally, she has performed Botox administration, for migraines, spasticity and dystonia since 1996. Dr Dungan is also trained in EMG/NCS and has been performing diagnostic nerve and muscle testing for over 25 years.
Dr. Dungan received her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. She completed her residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. She is a member of several prestigious professional societies, including the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and the Medical Association of Alabama.
Residing in Dothan since 1996, Dr. Dungan and her husband have two grown boys. Her husband runs a solar/air conditioning business. When not working, Dr. Dungan enjoys reading and biking.
