R. Bruce Hall, M.D.


Bruce Hall, M.D., is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in total joint replacement and sports medicine. A native of Southeast Alabama, he and his wife, Marie, live in Dothan, Alabama.

Dr. Hall’s interest in sports medicine began in high school and continued through his college years at Auburn University, Auburn, AL, where he was an athletic trainer for all of the athletic teams. He pursued this interest, receiving a medical degree and later completing his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, AL.

Dr. Hall joined Southern Bone & Joint Specialists in 1985 and has contributed greatly to the medical community in Dothan. He has served as President of the practice, has given several lectures on shoulder and knee injuries and has been a consultant to athletes, coaches, and allied health professionals throughout the Wiregrass area. He served as Medical Director for Flowers Hospital’s Joint Replacement Center and played and intricate part in the founding of that program in 2013.

When not at work, Dr. Hall enjoys attending Auburn University sporting events and spending time with his family at Lake Martin.
