Judson B. Moore, M.D.

BIOGRAPHY

Judson B. Moore, M.D. is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon, specializing in upper extremity surgery, including sports and shoulder injuries as well as surgery of the elbow and hand. He obtained his Medical Degree at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, AL. He completed his residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Dr. Moore continued his training at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC with a fellowship in shoulder, elbow and hand surgery.  His interest in sports medicine led him to serve as team physician at both the University of Mississippi and Wake Forest University. He obtained an AO orthopaedic trauma fellowship in Johnson City, TN and additionally completed the certificate for Added Qualification in hand surgery.

Dr. Moore chose this specialty because of its complexity and the intricate function of the hand. Although a limited area, he finds the variability appealing and truly enjoys performing all procedures.

A native of Headland, AL, Dr. Moore joined Southern Bone & Joint specialists in 2005. He and his wife, Anissa, and their 2 daughters live in Dothan. When he is not working, he enjoys family time, fly fishing and hunting.
