Nathan is originally from Dothan and graduated from Rehobeth High School in 2002. After high school, he worked as a Patient Care Assistant in the Surgery Department at Flowers Hospital while he attended Wallace Community College to obtain his Associate in Applied Science for nursing. He began his career as a Registered Nurse at Flowers Hospital in December of 2007 and worked for several years in the operating room. In July of 2012, he completed the Registered Nurse First Assistant program at Southwest Florida College and began working a Southeast Health as the CVOR Coordinator. He continued to further his education and completed his Master of Science for Family Practice Nurse Practitioner through Auburn University – Montgomery. In March of 2021, Nathan joined the SBJS family and is currently working in collaboration with Dr. Ryan Pflugner.

Nathan and his wife, Melissa, have a daughter named Ansleigh. Nathan enjoys playing the guitar, watching Alabama football and grilling for his family and friends.
