This week’s #featureFriday patient is Ms. Janice Green. Two years ago, Janice suffered a fall down some stairs at a friend’s house and severely fractured her ankle. After a visit to the ER and being admitted to the hospital, she started her journey with Dr. Ryan Pflugner. Due to the severity of her injury, Janice underwent multiple stages of surgery, placement of plates and screws and several weeks of activity restrictions and physical therapy. Because of her attitude and determination, she was able to return to working full hours at full duty. In March of this year, Janice was able to have the hardware that was placed to help facilitate the healing of her fractures removed and is doing so well! She was able to mark an item off her bucket list, which was to tour the Grand Canyon via helicopter (pictured).
Janice is so thankful that Dr. Pflugner was there for her when she hurt herself and feels that he and his staff were meant to be the ones to care for her. She is grateful to Nurse Yolanda for providing reassurance, positivity and encouragement throughout the process and answering every question she had along the way as she underwent 3 surgeries and a 2-year recovery.
We have enjoyed getting to know you Ms. Janice! Thank you for allowing us to care for you! ... See MoreSee Less
